Action plan for development of Inland waterway shipping in Croatia
Action plan for development of the inland waterway shipping in Croatia is a project founded by the European Union, the end beneficiary being the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Croatia. The aim of the project is to determine the measures and recommendations for the establishment of a stimulant and competitive inland waterway transport surrounding.
RGO Communications Ltd. takes part in the project implementation together with a Dutch partner, Panteia BV and an Austrian partner, via donau. Within the initial project phase, the administrative, managing and technical capacities of the existing Croatian shipping companies will be analysed and compared to similar shipping companies in the Netherlands and Austria. In the framework of the project, the fleet of the currently active Croatian shipping companies, as well as current and future port capacities will be analysed. Current human resources and educational capacities in the IWT sector will also be analysed in order to define measures for attracting new workforce. Guidelines for the modernization of the fleet and the Croatian shipping companies will be defined within the project in order to meet the regulations for the inland waterway vessels according to EU Directive 2006/87/EC. The final project task is the preparation of the Action Plan for development of inland waterway shipping in Croatia.
Project start is foreseen for January 2014 and the foreseen duration is 10 months.
Upgrade of Czech AIS central system
The object of the contract is the delivery and
installation of the software solution "Extension of AIS server",
including the provision of follow-up support in the form of further
modifications of the system, extending the newly added functionalities and
adapting the existing functionalities to the current client needs. This project
is a part of the RIS COMEX investment action.
The tasks that RGO Communications will be
performing within the contract include:
- introduction of the export and import
interface of raw AIS data,
- upgrade to LAVDIS interface,
- introduction of AIS server redundancy,
- extending the AIS Data Management Center,
- harmonization of graphic HTML interface,
- advanced features for working with vessels on
the AIS website,
- support the
customer with the implemented system and related software tools.
